Agree. With the huge leaps all of EA's other sports games are making, I've said I'll have to see what Live is like before I decide on basketball for this year.

But I just finished playing 2K again. And I still can't help but feel like its going to take a WHOLE LOT for Live to even get close. More than likely I'll end up with 2K10.

I disagree. I mean, this may be the first year of their 2-year plan for a new gameplay engine. Live 08 was TERRIBLE, and this year will make them 2 years removed from that. It may take a couple more years to fix everything.

I wouldn't buy the game outright, but even if it's bad this year, I'll give it a demo or a rental for Live '11.

I have not played the past two versions of NBA Live because 06 and 07 for the 360 were so bad. Let me know when it's worth playing again.

07 Live was the last I played on 360 and it wasn't horrible. It was actually fun to play against friends, but it definitely didn't match up well with 2K then and still doesn't now, but if they introduce some of the elements that Madden is borrowing from 2K5 into their presentation, finally fix the lighting in the game (it's too damn bright, clear and simple) and cut out half of the arcade like movements of the game they could get close, but why would they do all of that this year? My guess 2K is safe until the next gen consoles come out 4 or 5 years from now.

2k is the ultimate basketball sim..with signature style they truely capture each players likenesses..Live was so good on the ps2...what ever happened?

Agree. But i'll like to see something new from EA & 2K. I THink 2K Fail Last Year with 2K9 And NBA Live 09 Is not even woth talking about.. I Think EA its Goin to do a Good Job Cuz Now they Have the 2K Gameplay Developer..

For me, they havent been **** since 2k on friggen Dreamcast came out. Live's graphics and visuals are awesome, but the gameplay is horrendous and actually irritating.

Ea Will always make a Nba bball game

No need for such a blog and an a proclamation that this Live could be the end. EA is a business. Do you think that this Live would be the end of Live if it didn't "deliver on the goods", this year? Don't be silly.They will do what any other company would keep doing - Keep trying. Plus they do not live and die by Live.

They have a chance to take the crown back. 2k9 was just terrible compared to 2k8. It was so bad I brought NBA live and then I just went back to 2k8. 2k shut down there online service for 2k8 in the middle of this year playoffs due to financial issues. . Not good.

Just to clarify on my previous blog i dont mean EA will never make a nba game again but im talking about a realistic sim game. How many more $60 games are we gonna keep buying from EA. When i buy my $60 game i want it to be as close to nba bball as possible. To be honest i dont care about arcs or any thing of that matter this year i want to know if they finally worked and speed and power with each player. I want to know will a the bugs and and unrealistic movement be gonna for good. Mark my words if Ea cant make a fairly good game with Mike Wang on the team then my friends like i have stated EA BBALL may be done. I am live fan but come on how many more chances does EA get with your $60 each year. Its a monoploly in my opinion because lets say a underground company came to the spotligth and had a game and out did EA by a mile people wouldnt buy the better game for the simple reason if it doesnt have EA some people have being brainwashed to say okay it now a great game because EA doesnt back it.
