Steps to Move a Team

I have a team that has lost all of it's fan support. Even after three straight seasons of being over .500, the fan support continues to decrease.

I would like to move the team, but have never done this in the game. What are the steps to take to ensure that we make the move?

Submit a stadium proposal and once it is declined, you will have the option to move the team the following year.

From the help file:

You are only able to move your team to another city after the public has rejected an attempt to renovate your existing stadium or build a new stadium.

If the public rejects a vote for local construction or renovation, you may, the following year, submit a request to move the team to another city using this screen.
